Support Peter Johnson in the AIDS Run/Walk Chicago
As many of you know, Center on Halsted is a staple in Chicago's LGBTQ community and a national standard bearer for providing relevant social services and innovative community & cultural programming.
Among these are the the organization's HIV/AIDS & STD Services, which impact over 4,000 people annually through HIV Testing, over 9,000 through the State of Illinois HIV/AIDS & STD Hotline and countless others through outreach, education and awareness activities.
90% of funds I raise will contribute direclty to these services, which increasingly are loosing integral funding from State and National sources.
I am participating in the AIDS Run & Walk because running has been personally transformative in my life while coming to terms with my identity and sexuality. Running has helped me secure my health and well-being and I am running so that funds can be raised to do so for others who are either affected by HIV/AIDS or at risk.
Please consider joining me as we #bandtogether to end HIV/AIDS.
