AIDS Run and Walk 2017
Why do I walk?
I walk because there are too many people living in isolation and fear due to an HIV diagnosis.
I walk because there is debate around comprehensive sex education, even though the science is valid.
I walk because tonight there will be people living with HIV who will not know where their next meal will be coming from, let alone when they will have access to medications.
I walk because researchers estimate that nearly 50% of people living with HIV/AIDS will be homeless during some point in their lives.
I walk because our current political climate ignores those who are most in need.
I walk even when it is uncomfortable and hard.
The more important question is, will you?
