Welcome to my fundraising page!
Your donation to AIDS Run & Walk Chicago allows people vulnerable to and living with HIV and AIDS to live with dignity and purpose. Your support helps the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and its community partners continue their important work in the city of Chicago and beyond.
I have joined the event team representing the Center on Halsted in Chicago, and 90% of the funds you donate will go towards the Center, where I have recently begun to volunteer my time. I have participated in a short film screening of "Leftovers" by Michelle Citron, and a TransTalk meeting featuring the work done for young trans people at Lurie Children's Hospital, and coming up soon, an event celebrating the children's book, "I Am Jazz" by Jazz Jennings, as well as the Rattle the Center concert event to benefit the trans community. These are just a few examples of how the Center on Halsted is committed to providing a myriad of services to all people on the spectrum of the Chicago LGBT Community. I'm excited for the many opportunities to give back to my brothers and sisters in the LGBT community through the Center on Halsted in the coming year.
Please donate whatever you can, and me know so that I can thank you personally. I'm even going to brainstorm way in which I can "perk" the giving, so stay tuned!
