Welcome to Lane's fundraising page!
I'm doing a thing! I've committed to completing a 5k on Sept. 23 to raise funds for AIDS Run & Walk Chicago.
In our current political climate, already vulnerable communities are even more threatened. One is the community of Americans living with HIV and AIDS. As government officials threaten to slash budgeting on both local and national levels, people living with HIV and AIDS continue to need regular medical care, while the average monthly cost of lifesaving medications can range from $1,000-$3,000 per person.
I've aligned my participation with Team Howard Brown Health in order to help this awesome organization directly. I have personally benefitted from their various services and I want to give back. I'm doing this because I want to help raise funds for people affected by HIV and AIDS, because community activism feels more important now than ever.
Help me reach (or even exceed!) my fundraising goal of $500. If everyone could chip in $5, together, we could make an impact! I would greatly appreciate it.
