Welcome to my fundraising page!

Your donation to AIDS Run & Walk Chicago allows people vulnerable to and living with HIV and AIDS to live with dignity and purpose, and a portion of your donation will go to Chicago House and Social Service Agency, where I work as the legal director for the TransLife Center.
Chicago House and Social Service agency serves individuals and families who are disenfranchised by HIV/AIDS, LGBTQ marginalization, poverty, homelessness, and/or gender nonconformity by providing housing, employment services, medical linkage and retention services, HIV prevention services, legal services and other supportive programs.
I'm running in memory of my second cousin, Ed Bomba, who lived with HIV from the 1980s until his passing in 2016 and was an advocate for the disabled and those living with HIV/AIDS. Ed taught classes on AIDS at a community college in Pennslyvania and was passionate about providing services for LGBT seniors. He helped create a legal clinic for LGBT seniors in partnership with the AIDS Law Project and was a founder of the LGBT Elder Initiative in Philadelphia.
Thank you for supporting our family's commitment to this crucial work - and my first 5K!
