I am bold. I am proud. I am T2.

I’ve completed the Chicago marathon for the past five years and had the honor to run with T2 in 2016 and 2017. This year, however, I decided to tackle new challenges. On Sunday, October 7, 2018, my friend Jude and I will be guides for our visually impaired friend Keelan. I know the experience is going to be one of the most intense, humbling, rewarding, and heartfelt things I’ve ever done. The fact that he is trusting us on the journey of weekly training and race day, with 45,000 other athletes and almost 2 million spectators is beyond describable. I am very much looking forward, with excitement and nervousness, to helping Keelan achieve a lifetime accomplishment.

But the fun and determination will not stop there. On Sunday, November 4, 2018, I will then take on the New York City marathon, which will prove to be even more physically challenging.

Why am I doing this?

HIV/AIDS doesn't make headlines often these days, but that doesn't mean it's been cured or that it doesn't change people's lives every single day. In 2015, 921 Chicagoans got the news that they are living with this incurable disease: a record low since the start of the AIDS epidemic in the 80s, but still, far too many than should get that news. AFC is depending on me (and you) to support people living with and affected by HIV. They're making sure that people living with the virus have equitable access to housing, health care, case management and other supportive services. I care deeply about AFC's work, and that's why I'm running 26.2 miles in October and November! Please help me reach my fundraising goal of at least $4,200 by making a pledge. I appreciate your support more than you know!

Help me cross the finish line, and help thousands of people across Illinois live better lives. Donate to my T2 campaign today. Just click the DONATE TO ME button to the right to get started.
